Based on responses, we decided on “Domesticity” as the theme. Domesticity is defined as “a domestic activity or duty”. For example cooking, cleaning (french maid or not), gardening, Butler, chauffeur, pool girl….really anything that has a connection to domestic chores. Just include something in your submission that is related to a domestic activity, no special outfits or costumes required. Just have fun and let your creative juices flow! (hehe) Feel free to create a video, photographs or both!
We would like everyone to submit these to their blog starting in the last week of April through the first day of May. That gives the people participating the option of submitting these for a monthly (April or May) VC contests if they so choose. Make sure you label your submission with a title so we all know it’s part of this challenge.
This gives you a month to think up some very creative ways to show the theme of domesticity. We can't wait to see what all these creative, highly sexual minds come up with. Remember, the whole idea is to have fun and challenge each other to come up with some very creative photos.

Who is Big Kahuna? hehehe...anyways, just a question: Unlike most other B&W photos taken by a color camera, your ones look like "real" Black and white shots. May I ask how you do them? Do you put your cam into B&W mode or do you reduce colors to B&W at a later step? Do you apply any special filter? For example your latest photos (the forest pics...very good shots!!) have the exact grey levels (yes, I analyzed your photos) of an original B&W photo...which is kind of surprising to me.

The camera is set in b/w to see the contrast/composition while shooting, but the real processing doesn't occur until it's brought into photoshop. I'm trying to make them feel like they were taken with b/w film so it's nice to know i'm doing something right. Most of the processing is done with curves to achieve that look. Tried to use curves in the RAW converter, but when i upload it to VC the photo is blown out. Doing the same curves work in PS works just fine. Tried several different photos and the upload issue was consistent with the photos done in RAW. We upload some of these to an art site and haven’t had an issue.

OK, that's how it works then. I tried with color profiles, which look good in Photoshop, but are destroyed when uploading to our servers. Did you try with gamma filters/correctors and level settings too or just with the curves?

Haven't tried any of those, just use curves after converting into b/w. Glad to know that i'm not the only person having trouble uploading. Is it something that will be fixed?

Look at my comment prior to yours. I just did a test and i'll post the b/w on our blog. The two b/w shots of Sexty undoing her bra are identical except that one was processed in the RAW converter and one inside CS6. Did the extact same thing to each one and you can see the difference. Tested one in color and it didn't have the same problem as the b/w. That is the uploading issue i'm referring to.
